Musique concrète: Voyager 6

Voyager 6 is a sound collage project for the media arts faculty of Bauhaus University in Weimar. It is a musique concrète piece, inspired by early works from Pierre Henry and Pierre Schaefer. It is made only by self-recorded "noise" and foley art methods, edited with classical montage techniques like tape loops and time shifts. The piece Voyager 6 is a modern-world reinterpretation of the so-called Golden Record that was sent into space by NASA in 1977 with the spacecraft Voyager 1 and 2, containing visual as well as auditive snippets from planet earth to deliver to potential extraterrestrial beings.

The thought experiment of the fictive interplanetary spacecraft Voyager 6 (appearing in the Star Trek series as V´ger 6) is the foundation of my sound collage. How could a Golden Record sound today?
