About student B. Sc. environmental science @ Lüneburg guest student B. M. Jazz Violin @ Hamburg Hatha Yoga teacher @ Yoga Vidya Member of Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra Young North German Philharmonic Orchestra (jnp) Leuphana Big Band |
"I envision a subtle integration of music and spirituality with scientifical and ecological thoughts in a transdisiplinary approach. Embodiment of knowledge can grow through consciousness, emotion and arts like music and dance."
|
I started to play violin at age 4, followed by piano and drumset. Thereby I developed a passion in experimental jazz, fusion and transcultural music. Alternately playing in classical orchestras and in jazz ensembles as well as spinning some funk and trip hop records every now and then, now I try to bring an orchestral and percussive sound into jazz, especially with my violin.
I have a special interest in brazilian and indian music traditions, influenced by living in Recife, Brazil and due to my Yoga practice.
In my Bachelor studies of environmental science, I research on biodiversity, ecology and indigenous local knowledge. I try to integrate music and ecology by using arts-based research methods. A detailed musical background & further literature you find below. |
